Three people sat in police custody Monday after a shooting left La’Eva Morrison dead in Pittsburgh’s Strip District. Officers picked them up for questioning. No charges have been filed. The probe keeps going.
It started late Sunday, just before 11 p.m. near 27th Street and Liberty Avenue. Cops got the call and found Morrison on the sidewalk. She had a gunshot wound to the face and was not responding.
First responders worked on her with CPR until EMS took over. They got her to the hospital. She did not make it. The 34-year-old woman from the area was gone.
