Marguerite Charvat was 60 and lived in Medina. She died Sunday after a crash in Montville Township. It happened just past 5 p.m. on August 2 in the 7600 block of Wadsworth Road, also called State Route 57.
A 2025 Toyota Corolla headed south crossed the center line. It hit Marguerite’s 2023 Ford Escape head-on. Police said both drivers had their seatbelts on.
Crews took Marguerite to Medina Hospital. Doctors worked on her injuries. She did not make it.
The woman driving the Toyota was 28. She went to the same hospital with minor injuries. She is expected to recover.
No one knows yet why the Corolla drifted into the other lane. Police are still looking into it.
Friends and family in Medina are shaken. Marguerite was known around town for the quiet ways she helped people. Her sudden death hit hard.
