A local community is grieving tonight after a young mother lost her life in a tragic parking lot incident. Jade Aliyah Ramirez was only 19 years old. Her sudden death has shaken both Nampa and Caldwell, leaving family and friends desperate for answers.
It all happened early in the morning on July 26, 2026. Around 4:20 a.m., Nampa police officers got a frantic call about a pedestrian struck by a car. The crash occurred in a parking lot right along the 1500 block of Caldwell Boulevard.
When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found Jade with severe, life-threatening injuries. Paramedics rushed the Caldwell resident straight to a nearby hospital. Medical staff did everything they could to save her, but she passed away shortly after.
The Ada County Coroner’s Office later reviewed the case and released their findings. They confirmed that Jade died from multiple blunt force injuries caused by the collision.
At first, police were not sure what led to the incident. Investigators stated that they did not have enough hard evidence right away to make an arrest. However, detectives kept working the case, interviewing witnesses and reviewing evidence carefully.
As detectives dug deeper, they discovered that Jade had been in a heated argument right before she was hit. The other person involved was 18-year-old Alissa Mae Huerta, also from Caldwell. After reviewing all the clues, investigators concluded that driving the car into Jade was no accident—it was done on purpose.
Police arrested Huerta without any trouble and booked her into the Canyon County Jail on a first-degree murder charge. As the legal case moves forward, Jade’s loved ones are leaning on each other for support. Friends have organized a candlelight vigil to honor her memory, remember her bright spirit, and support the young child and family she left behind.
