Joshua Lehman is 27 and lives in Shenandoah. He works as a fitness trainer under the name JLstrength and competes in Strongman contests. On Sunday he was arrested in connection with a shooting in Lake View.
Police say Dr. Rylie-Shea Muhlbauer, 27, of Manning, was found dead inside a home on East Shore Drive. The 911 call came in at 10:27 a.m. on August 2. Lake View officers and emergency crews arrived and located her body.
Lehman was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder, a Class A felony. Authorities have not released any statement about how the pair were connected. Facebook posts indicate they were dating.
Muhlbauer was a doctor of chiropractic. She had recently left Kansas and started Higher Up Chiropractic in Manning. The house sits along the shore of Black Hawk Lake in Sac County, roughly 100 miles northwest of Des Moines.
The Lake View Police Department, Sac County Sheriff’s Office, Sac County Attorney’s Office, and Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation are handling the case together. They report the investigation continues and no further information is available right now.
A criminal charge remains only an accusation. Lehman is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
