Investigators are working to piece together the moments leading up to a violent multi-vehicle wreck that took a young man’s life. According to police details, 22-year-old Mohamad Ali Zeineddine was traveling eastbound down West Davison when he suddenly lost control of his vehicle. What caused the car to slip out of control remains under active review by local law enforcement officers looking into every detail.
The out-of-control vehicle slammed directly into a truck with massive force. The impact was violent enough to instantly spark a raging fire inside the truck. Bystanders could only watch in terror as flames rapidly consumed the vehicle amidst the wreckage.
First responders rushed to the scene on West Davison near Linwood Street within minutes, but there was little they could do for the young driver. Mohamad was pronounced dead right at the scene due to the severity of the impact. Visitation takes place at the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 2, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Islamic Memorial Gardens in Westland at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, with a commemoration service scheduled for Aug. 8 at 4 p.m.
