A young girl’s sudden disappearance turned a quiet Florida afternoon into a parent’s worst nightmare. Early Monday afternoon, 13-year-old Juliet Arioso vanished from her home in the Shady Road Villas community in Ocala. From the moment law enforcement realized she was gone, the clock started ticking fast. Authorities quickly identified the man who took her as 45-year-old Jason Castillo, the ex-boyfriend of Juliet’s mother. He had taken off in a red 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe, heading south with the frightened teen trapped inside. In cases like this, every passing minute feels like an eternity. Local deputies knew they were in a desperate race against time to track down the SUV before things turned tragic.

Around 5:20 p.m., Marion County deputies finally locked eyes on the red Hyundai near Belleview and tried to pull it over. When Castillo refused to stop and tried to floor it, deputies did not hesitate.
